The Customizer is an in-game equipment loadout and appearance customizing screen in Space Marine online multiplayer. The player can create a number of pre-built loadouts and "paint jobs" to be used in online matches.
The Customizer is unlocked at character level 4, when the player can use all three classes (Devastator unlocking at level 2 and Assault at level 3).

When the Customizer becomes available, the player can choose the default wargear loadout he will use (weapons and special equipment for each class), as well as 1 additional slot that can be used for an alternative loadout for any class. When the player gains multiplayer experience levels, more of these additional slots will unlock (at levels 11, 17, 23, 29 and 35) up to a total of 6 alternative loadout slots.
Appearance[]
The Customizer includes an extensive armor customizing function, which allows players to give their Space Marine or Chaos Space Marine an unique look and feel. It includes the option to swap out different parts – the helmet, shoulder plates, breast plate, vambraces and greaves – individually, as well as change the coloring of each different part or add a faction symbol.
There are a number of pre-made Chapter/Warband schemes as well as a smaller number of retailer-exclusive pre-order armor sets (such as the Blood Ravens Armor or Emperor's Children Armor), which include more detail and unique 3D models.
In the multiplayer "Classes" trailer, it is stated that the Customizer allows more than 18,000,000,000 possible combinations.
